CURWENSVILLE -17 years ago, Jessica Holtmeyer was convicted of first degree murder in the death of Kimberly Dotts, and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Now, Dotts's family is being forced to relive the past. A recent supreme court ruling could give Holtmeyer a chance to be released.

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — An increase in child abuse cases has acting Somerset County District Attorney Molly Metzgar looking to bring in someone to help oversee the sensitive content.
She's asking the county salary board to hire a "child justice coordinator" to help track, advise and work with police on investigations involving abuse.
Metzgar says on top of the two dozen active abuse cases her office is working on, there are an additional 20 new cases that have recently been filed, and they're using an all-hands on deck approach.

PennDOT officials say they’re also planning to implement travel restrictions on trucks and other vehicles on certain roadways until conditions improve.

GREENFIELD TOWNSHIP – A Hollidaysburg Area High School senior and standout softball player died in an ATV accident Friday morning.
Police said Mikayla Focht, of Duncansville, was a passenger on a 2015 Yamaha Raptor ATV being driven by Trenton Bilak, 23, of Everett, when the ATV struck a deer on the road around 4:15 a.m. along Knob Run Road, near Blue Knob.
The impact caused the ATV to overturn, which threw both Bilak and Focht from the ATV.
