Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — A State College man charged in a deadly hit-and-run crash nearly two years ago pled guilty in Centre County court Wednesday. Authorities say Christopher Hort admitted to causing the fatal crash that claimed the life of 23-year-old John David King. Police say on the night of April 17, 2020, Hort was traveling along Route 45, near Millheim, when he struck and killed King, who was on a scooter along the roadside.

GEISTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Emergency officials in Cambria County say one person is injured and was taken to the hospital after crashing into the Bistro restaurant on Nees Avenue in Geistown. It happened just after 4 p.m. Friday. Crews pulled the car out of the building and a local construction company worked to stabilize the structure. NANTY GLO- Tons of people crowded the Nanty Glo Park and Pool Tuesday as the temperatures continued to rise. The pool manager said the pool opened later into the year because repairs had to be made beforehand. PLAINS, Pa. (AP) — State police shot and killed a man who struck a trooper with his pickup truck and then crashed into a police sport utility vehicle after an altercation at a northeastern Pennsylvania bar, authorities said.
