CINCINNATI (WKRC) — Police are asking the public to help them identify a woman whose dismembered remains were found in Ohio earlier this week. WKRC was first to break this news on Monday when the body was discovered in a Cincinnati neighborhood. Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco said the woman was likely killed Friday night or Saturday morning. The Hamilton County Coroner does not know her age, identity, or if she is from the area.
BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) -- A former Centre County judge has found himself on the other side of the law, again. Former President Judge Thomas Kistler was charged with DUI last fall and placed in a special probation program known as ARD. It's a program used for first-time offenders. But now, Kistler is accused of violating the terms of his probation by recently consuming alcohol. According to court documents filed Tuesday, the Centre County district attorney's office is requesting that Kistler’s ARD probation be revoked.
Blair County, PA — Airport manager Tracy Plessinger says the travel experience could soon change at the Altoona/Blair County airport, and that the airport is submitting it's candidacy for funding. Airlines there include Contour which connects people in central PA to Philadelphia and beyond, with 2 flights per day. Contour is an operator with American Airlines flights, which Plessinger says means you don't have to recheck your bags, or have 2 tickets.
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — The Department of Health and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are taking legal action against 22 restaurants they say refused to close their dining rooms during the Wolf administration’s temporary COVID-19 restrictions to prevent holiday spread. The temporary restrictions went into effect Dec. 12 and are set to expire Monday. Under the order, restaurants and bars are prohibited from offering dine-in services at their establishments. CLEARFIELD - A medical physician assistant and a Clearfield County man were charged by the Pennsylvania Attorney General for conspiring in a prescription drug arrangement. Holly Jean Hipps, 41, of Olanta, and Dennis Lingle, 60, of Clearfield, are facing several felony counts including conspiracy, acquiring or obtaining possession of controlled substance by misrepresentation and administration of controlled substance by practitioner. Court documents state Hipps was writing prescriptions with an expired DEA registration and expired medical license, both of which expired in 2016.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — A crew working in the basement area of an Ohio building intentionally cut a gas line not knowing it was pressurized before a deadly explosion this week, the National Transportation Safety Board said Friday. NTSB board member Tom Chapman said preliminary investigation shows workers were in the basement to clear out piping and other outdated infrastructure and debris from the basement and vault area — which extends underneath the sidewalk next to the building — in anticipation of a city project to fill in the area and replace the sidewalks.
