Officials say drivers can expect to see road delays and construction starting next week.
PennDOT officials tell us that roadwork will begin throughout Route 56, starting April 8. They say it is part of a new rehabilitation and restoration project throughout Johnstown, as well as Richland and Stoneycreek townships.

WHY IS JUNE PRIDE MONTH?
The monthlong global celebration began with Gay Pride Week in late June 1970, a public celebration that marked the first anniversary of the violent police raid at New York's Stonewall Inn, a gay bar.
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — The Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Counsel has suspended the law license of Somerset County District Attorney Jeff Thomas indefinitely as a sexual assault case against him continues to move through the courts. The per curiam order filed Wednesday states, "This order should not be construed as removing Respondent from elected office and is limited to the temporary suspension of his license to practice law."
Thomas has already taken a self-imposed leave of absence from the position since his arrest last month.
Authorities with the Department of Justice say a State College man was found guilty Wednesday on charges related to the January 6th Capitol riot in Washington D.C.
Investigators say 28-year-old Brian Gunderson was found guilty of obstructing an official proceeding and assaulting, resisting or impeding law enforcement.
Authorities say Gunderson is accused of "joining a mob of rioters" inside the Parliamentarian’s Office of the building.
Prosecutors allege that Gunderson spent approximately eight minutes inside the office and say that he reportedly wrote a note "
Following another day of the Penns Manor School district teacher’s strike, the school board held a meeting on Wednesday evening.
Dozens of teachers. Residents, and students showed up to voice their opinions about the ongoing strike and subsequent school cancelations.
The strike has been ongoing for over a week now and students haven’t been able to attend class for eight consecutive school days. All of this because the teacher’s union disagreed with the healthcare and retirement incentives set in the new contract proposed by the district – and are asking to maintain their current level of benefits while providing competitive salaries to attract new teachers as many are set to retire.
ALTOONA -- Dick's Sporting Goods announced Wednesday that its stores will no longer sell assault-style rifles, and the stores have restricted all gun purchases to customers 21 or older.
The Dick's stores stopped selling assault-style rifles after the Sandy Hook mass shooting, but continued to sell them in Field & Stream stores. Now, neither store will sell them.

PHILIPSBURG/CENTRE COUNTY, Pa — With the holiday season right around the corner, holiday shopping is on everyone’s mind but for those less fortunate, Christmas is not always so merry.
