JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities say a Missouri man is behind bars in Jefferson County, accused of trying to meet a teenage girl for sex. Police say on Sunday, 56-year-old David Patterson began communicating with members of the group 814 Pred Hunters, who were posing as a 15-year-old girl. Police say the conversation became sexual, and Patterson was arrested Thursday morning at Sheetz in Punxsutawney, where he thought he was meeting the teen.

University Park, PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Patton Township police department have filed charges against an official at Penn State University following an investigation into alleged acts of domestic violence. Police say Keith Brautigam, who serves as the university's Interim Vice President for Information Technology and CIO, is charged with felony strangulation following an alleged incident over the weekend. According to the affidavit, police were dispatched to a residence late Sunday night for a reported domestic dispute.
WOODBURY, Pa. (WJAC) — One person is dead after a massive fire Sunday night at a post office in Bedford County, according to county coroner Rusty Styer. Residents in the area tell 6 News that the post office in Woodbury Borough along the 100 block of Main Street also had apartment buildings. Styer says they found the deceased was found on the first floor of the building and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday July 5th.
2nd UPDATE |Pittsburgh — A suspect is dead after a shootout with seven deputies in a Pittsburgh neighborhood Wednesday afternoon. Officials say that William Hardison Sr. was pronounced dead just after 5 p.m., nearly seven hours after an intense gun battle started while deputies were serving a court ordered eviction notice. Witnesses say they heard hundreds of gunshots. One deputy was injured while trying to take cover while the suspect was shooting.
There will only be about 100 students at Jackson Elementary in the upcoming year school officials said now that it will be just kindergarten through second grade students in Jackson Township. The Central Cambria school board voting on and passing a plan that will have students third through fifth grades, that previously went to Jackson Elementary going to Cambria Elementary to begin the upcoming school year. That will add about 100 students to Cambria Elementary, taking its total to about 540 students according to school officials.

EBENSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — Cambria County Sheriff Bob Kolar, who was elected to six terms over a span of more than 20 years, has died. His death was first confirmed to 6 News by Cambria County Commissioner Tom Chernisky. A Facebook post on the Sheriff's Office website says he died Wednesday night. "Always able to put a smile on your face, Sheriff Kolar served Cambria County with pride and fairness and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him,"
