MEXICO CITY (AP) — Newly minted Michelin-starred chef Arturo Rivera Martínez stood over an insanely hot grill Wednesday at the first Mexican taco stand ever to get a coveted star from the French dining guide, and did exactly the same thing he's been doing for 20 years: searing meat.
Though Michelin representatives came by Wednesday to present him with one of the company's heavy, full-sleeved, pristine white chef's jackets, he didn't put it on: In this tiny, 10-foot by 10-foot (3-meter by 3-meter) business, the heat makes the meat.
INDIANA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police say charges have been filed against a Kittanning man following an investigation into allegations that he sexually abused a young, female relative decades ago.
Police say the victim, who is now 28 years old, reported that she had been sexually abused by 51-year-old William Piper at multiple locations in Rayne Township, Indiana County.
According to the affidavit, troopers say the victim recalled one incident, when she was 5 years old, in which Piper reportedly performed sexual acts on her.
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- The State College Area School Board of Directors voted by a 5-4 margin Wednesday night to a cancel a bid that had Papa John's pizza being served in the district.
The vote came after Superintendent Bob O'Donnel and business manager Randy Brown made the recommendation, citing actions by the former CEO of the pizza chain as inconsistent with the district's School Climate and Inclusive Excellence Policy.

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Multiple fire companies were called late Tuesday morning to a barn fire in Bedford County.
The blaze happened at a farm along Route 96 just outside of Alum Bank.
The road was shut down as crews battled the flames.
A 6 News crew on scene said water was being brought in with tanker trucks near the Alum Bank Volunteer Fire Company.
Authorities say 90 cattle were lost in the fire.
ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) – The Altoona Area School District is laying off dozens of employees after moving to virtual learning for the rest of the semester.
The district’s school board voted Monday to temporarily furlough 64 special education aides.
Superintendent Dr. Charles Prijatelj said it didn't make sense to keep them on the payroll.
“It’s not a question of wanting these employees, it’s not a question of not valuing these people, it’s a question of we have to have work for them to do,” he said.
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Ann Turner Cook, whose cherubic baby face was known the world over as the original Gerber baby, has died. She was 95.
Gerber announced Cook's passing in an Instagram post on Friday.
"Many years before becoming an extraordinary mother, teacher and writer, her smile and expressive curiosity captured hearts everywhere and will continue to live on as a symbol for all babies," the company said.
Cook was 5 months old when a neighbor, artist Dorothy Hope Smith, drew a charcoal sketch of her that was later submitted for a contest Gerber was holding for a national marketing campaign for baby food.
The Blair County coroner's office is getting some new equipment for its facility.
The office now has metal identification badges and carrying cases.
Back in November, thirteen metal badges and carrying cases were purchased for each deputy.
The badges were delivered and issued last week.

SOMERSET- Controversy is unfolding in Somerset County over two litters of German shepherd puppies, soon to be up for adoption at the Humane Society.
Sixteen of the 22 puppies surrendered by the breeder already had families interested, or had put a deposit down. The Humane Society told 6 News that those families can put in an application, but it’s not guaranteed they will get a puppy.
