WILKINSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a Pennsylvania woman starved three children who had been left in her care. Allegheny County police say 35-year-old Jennifer Stout, of Wilkinsburg, is charged with aggravated assault, child endangerment and reckless endangerment. It wasn't known Monday if she's retained an attorney. Authorities say the mother of the children -- two girls, ages 12 and 9, and a 2-year-old boy -- left them with Stout about seven months ago.
BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — Another former Penn State fraternity member is allowed to serve his punishment at home. Former Beta Theta Pi member Luke Visser was resentenced Wednesday to 45 days of home confinement and six months of probation instead of serving a maximum six months in jail. Judge Brian Marshall resentenced two other former Beta Theta Pi members last month to the same terms. Visser pleaded guilty to hazing charges surrounding the 2017 death of Timothy Piazza.
Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Upper Yoder Township Police Department say a Johnstown area man is behind bars after he was accused of abusing his 4-month-old child, leading to severe brain and spinal injuries to the infant. According to the affidavit, police say officers were contacted to investigate the alleged abuse in November after the infant was taken to UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. Investigators say doctors determined that the child had suffered a traumatic brain injury, as well as an injury to his spine.

BLAIR CO, Pa (WJAC) — Altoona Area School District officials confirmed that a student at Penn Lincoln Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. Superintendent Dr. Charles Prijatelj says the district was notified by a parent, late Tuesday. District officials have contacted parents and are awaiting guidance from the Department of Health, Prijatelj added. School officials did note that one class at the elementary school was asked to stay home Wednesday, but the grade level of the student, and class, have not yet been announced.
Another year, another toll increase on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. This week, the Turnpike Commission approved a five percent toll increase for 2024. The increase will take effect starting January 7th and will impact all E-Z Pass and toll by plate customers. Gen Z men are a lot different than older generations. Only 32% of millennial men, 23% of Gen X men, and just 20% of Baby Boomer men did not date during their teenage years.

This is the first year Johnstown couple Kevin and Sara Greenwood are taking over their family business.
