GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Patrick Mahomes and his ailing right ankle are headed for another Super Bowl victory parade. After aggravating the sprained ankle he suffered three weeks ago, the All-Pro quarterback led the Kansas City Chiefs to a thrilling 38-35 come-from-behind victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, hoisting his second Lombardi Trophy and taking with it the game's MVP honor for the second time in his career. Mahomes finished with 182 yards passing and three touchdowns, but he was especially brilliant on his hurt ankle in the second half: 13 of 14 for 93 yards and two touchdowns.

QUAKERTOWN - State police say a 2-year-old boy accidentally shot himself to death in a Pennsylvania home. Authorities say the boy was pronounced dead Monday shortly after suffering a single gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency medical personnel responded to the shooting around 11 a.m. at the home in Milford Township, Bucks County, north of Philadelphia. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including whether anyone was home at the time, how the child got the weapon and who owned the weapon.
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) — There’s new information about a fight that happened earlier this year at a Penn State fraternity that resulted in two members of the Nittany Lions football team being cited with disorderly conduct. According to State College police, other members of the team were involved in the fight and police say they got little to no cooperation from the university in their investigation. The new information is in a search warrant State College police served on Penn State's Office of Student Conduct in May.
Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — It’s festival and carnival week in Centre County, with numerous events in State College, Philipsburg, Centre Hall and Rebersburg. The 29th edition of the People’s Choice Festival of Pennsylvania Arts and Crafts kicked off Thursday morning at the Grange Fairgrounds in Centre Hall. Organizers say it’s been over two decades since volunteers first came together to make this occasion possible. The year 1993 showed roughly 50 vendors while this year, the festival will feature over 200 artists, dozens of food vendors, and 40 acts are scheduled to perform on the two stages.

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — DelGrosso's Park is opening this Sunday. Rides will be free for two hours to celebrate opening day. That begins at 11 a.m. The park will be open on weekends and Memorial Day for the month of May. The director of marketing says they hope this year is another great year for the park. "We're just excited, again, 72nd year, it's truly a heritage and a legacy so we're excited to continue that for this summer,” said Amy Mearkle.
EBENSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — An online petition calling for the Confederate flag to be banned from Ebensburg Borough-sanctioned events is gaining traction. The Change.org petition, started by Raquel Lemelle, has received 2,025 signatures as of Thursday afternoon. The petition comes as names, symbols and monuments linked to the Confederacy are being removed across the country in response to racial injustice protests sparked by the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died while being detained by police in Minneapolis.
UNIVERSITY PARK - Penn State's Class of 2017 unveiled its class gift to the university on Wednesday. Instead of donating a physical object of statue, this year’s senior class will provide annual funding for Lion Pantry program on campus. The Lion Pantry provides help to hungry students. Leaders of the program said with the rising cost of tuition, it’s something essential to have in place for those who really need help.
