CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — This Sunday, the annual Penn State THON 5K race will return to Penn State’s campus, after the COVID pandemic prevented the run from happening in person last year. 6 News spoke with THON 2022’s media relations lead Friday afternoon. Last year the race was virtual. This weekend, it’ll be back in Happy Valley without the need for screens. Although THON itself takes place several months from now, this 5K is one of many events held leading up to the dance marathon.

Pittsburgh (CNN) — Officials say an Ed Sheeran concert left several people with heat-related issues this past weekend. First responders in Pittsburgh say 17 people were taken to the hospital Saturday night during the concert. Authorities say some of the injuries included falls, one seizure, and two cardiac arrests. Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — On Wednesday, officials in Clearfield County announced the appointment of the county's newest commissioner, following the resignation of former commissioner Antonio “Tony” Scotto. President Judge Fredric Ammerman appointed Mary E. Tatum to fill the commission's vacancy. Officials say Tatum, a Houtzdale resident, will serve as the third Clearfield County Commissioner for the remainder of Scotto's term. Commissioner Tatum will officially begin serving out the term on Monday, Nov.
