State College man sentenced to jail time, probation for killing passenger in fatal DUI crash on Rt.

A State College man who pleaded guilty to charges related to a fatal DUI crash on Route 322 in August of 2021 has been sentenced.

Alexander Hynoski appeared in Centre County court Thursday where he was sentenced to serve 16 to 32 months in the Centre County jail, followed by 52 months of probation.

Hynoski was charged in May of last year in the death of 20-year-old Elizabeth Biddle, who was the passenger in Hynoski's vehicle.

Police say Hynoski reportedly ran a stop sign, near the intersection of Route 322 and Mountain Back Road, and collided with a FedEx truck.

Troopers say Biddle was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Hynoski, who was underage at the time of the crash, later admitted to drinking prior to the incident.

Investigators say speed was also a factor in the crash.

During the sentencing hearing, Biddle's father provided a statement to the court, saying that Hynoski's decision to drink and drive was "unforgiveable."
